Registering and Logging In

Creating an Account is easy and can be completed in five steps.
Step One: Accept the invite received via email. If you have not already received an invite, either:
• To sign up as a Client (In-house GC) -
• To sign up as a Legal Provider (Firm/Chambers) -

Step Two: Create a Client Account or Provider Account (as relevant) by completing the registration fields and enter your contact information. Once all fields have been completed, tick the box to agree to our Terms of Use and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy, then click Sign Up

Step Three: You will now be asked to confirm your email, BriefBox will send you a confirmation email. When you have received this email, click                     to verify your Account.

It is an important part of BriefBox security that you verify by email. By using your email, you are confirming you are who you say you are, and a member of the entity you claim to belong to.

Step Four: Create a Profile. Your profile will be visible to all other BriefBox users, so be sure to add as much relevant information as possible from your Bio.
Step Five: Add your colleagues to “My Team”. By adding colleagues to “My Team” you will be able to collaborate easily (including by quickly creating Workrooms), view team members’ Profiles, message, and Brief together etc.

That’s it, you are now registered for BriefBox.

I have signed up for an Account, how do I now log into BriefBox?

Visit and select Sign In. On the Sign In page enter your email address and password and click            

Note that from the Sign In page, you have the option to select to “Keep me signed in for 2 weeks”. This avoids the need to frequently enter in your login credentials.

How do I access LaunchPad?

LaunchPad is one of BriefBox’s Premium Modules and is a key module in the BriefBox cloud based suite of legal tools designed to assist and facilitate collaboration amongst members of your organisation’s legal team. For more information, see the “How to Guide on Using LaunchPad”.

If your Company has subscribed for LaunchPad, accessing LaunchPad’s Dashboard and features is easy. Once you have logged into BriefBox, simply click on “LaunchPad” in the top black bar navigation menu and select from one of the dropdown menu items.

NOTE: if LaunchPad does not appear, please allow 2 hours, log off and back in.

How do I amend and update my Profile?
Your profile will be visible to all other BriefBox users. To create your Profile, once logged into BriefBox, click on your name in the top black bar navigation menu (top right of the screen) and select ‘Profile’.
From your Profile page, click the box below the heading “About” and enter in your Profile details. Once completed, select ‘Save’. If you did not create a Profile when signing up initially, you can also follow these steps to create your Profile.

How do I add and update my Profile picture?

To add or update your Profile picture, navigate to your Profile (see How do I amend and update my Profile? above). Once on your Profile page, simply select the existing Profile picture to the left of your name (this will be a blank square if you have not previously uploaded a Profile picture) and select the picture you wish to use. Coloring will be done by BriefBox. 

How do I change my Password and other Account Settings?

To change your password, click on your name in the top black bar navigation menu (top right of the screen) and select ‘Account Settings’.
Select Password & Security the left hand menu bar. Complete the fields on the Password & Security screen and select                  
From the Account Settings page, you can also update your general information, such as alternative contact details (from the General tab) and select the level of privacy you wish to adopt and email alerts you will receive (from the Alerts & Privacy Tab). 

How do I log out of BriefBox?

Logging out of BriefBox is easy. Simply click on your name in the top black bar navigation menu (top right of the screen) and select ‘Logoff’.

How do I get more information & Support
For any additional questions, simply navigate to or alternatively click your name at the top right of the screen and select ‘Support’ from the dropdown menu.
